Hand painted porcelain is so beautiful no matter if executed in a factory, professional or small home studio environment. The overall artistic quality of the item is what really matters.
This lovely hand painted tall candle stick, circa 1910, was created in a small home studio with wonderful artistic abilities. The base of the candle stick is decorated with three clusters of pale to medium blue forget-me-not blossoms, pastel green leaves and random stems of delicate dark pink flowers linked together by green stems. The background is a combination of pale blue at the base blending into the white porcelain blank. The candle socket and edge is gold decorated. The candle stick measures 8 1/2" in height, 4 1/4" across the base and 1 3/4" across the top. The porcelain blank is stamped in green "La Seynie - Limoges - P P - France" for the Paroutaud Freres Porcelain Co.s, circa 1903-1917. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint condition.
