Celebrating 25 years of Antiquing Bliss
Bing & Grondahl Porcelain of "Nude Child With A Toothache" Figurine #2207 - image 1 of 6

The Bing & Grondahl Company was established in 1853 by Grondahl, who was a figurine maker for the Royal Danish Porcelain Factory, and the Bing brothers, who were art and book dealers. In 1987 the company merged with its primary competitor, under the name Royal Copenhagen.

This darling white porcelain figurine of a nude child with a toothache is one of four figures designed by Svend Lindhardt (1898-1989), noted sculptor bronze, ceramic and porcelain, who worked for Bing & Grondahl and at his own workshop. The figure portrays the child in a knelling position cradling his lower jaw in his hands. The figurine measures 4 1/2" in height and is stamped in green with the three towers mark "B&G - Copenhagen Porcelain - Bing & Grondahl - Denmark - 2207". Impressed "Sv. Lindhardt". This mark was used in 1983. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. It will make you smile and remember your children when they were little or now your grandchildren. The four figures in my store are priced individually or you may purchase the entire set for $145.00
