The A.E.Hull Pottery was formed in 1905 in Crooksville, Ohio, and operated until 1986. During the late 1930's through the 1950's, Hull was producing some of it's best pottery.
The Bowknot pattern was introduced in 1949. The embossed floral design is a matte finish of pink and blue or turquoise and blue combination. The popular line had 29 different shapes. As the name implies, the pattern used huge bows with floral groupings on all the pieces. This lovely smaller size ewer uses the pink and blue combination background along with pastel blue, pink yellow and green in the floral design. The ewer measures 6 1/4" to the top of the arched ribbon handle; it is marked on the base in raised letters "U.S.A. - Hull Art - B1 - 5 1/2". There are no cracks, chips, scratches or repairs; near mint. Great color and design sharpness.
