Pickard, Inc., the premier Chicago decorating studio was founded by Wilder A. Pickard, who was born on a farm near Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. His first studio was located in Edgerton, Wisconsin, and soon was relocated to Chicago where it still exists today. The largest and most famous decorating Chicago studio, Pickard attracted the best of the best artists of the time.

This lovely vase is the Rose & Daisy pattern in the all-over-gold finish, which was made popular by the Pickard Company as well as other Chicago decorating studios. The exterior is entirely covered with the rose & daisy pattern. while the interior is a lovely blue-green enamel shade. The gold back-stamp, mark #14, is the Lion within a shield & "Pickard - Decorated in U.S.A.", which was used from 1930-1938. It is also stamped in green "Bohemia - Made in Czechoslovakia". The vase measures 5 3/4" in height, 4" across the top and 2 3/4" across the base. There are no cracks, chip, repairs or gold wear; it was probably never used or very seldom, Lovely and impressive piece.
