Operating in Albany, Indiana, from 1893-1902, the Model Flint Glass Co. produced many types of tableware, before and after it became one of the 19 factories forming the National Glass Company in 1899. A variety of patterns were made there, including the ribbed spiral pattern listed here, circa 1899-1902, which was also referred to as trellis. The pattern referenced as #911 has been found in crystal as well as white, blue and canary opalescent glass.
This lovely candy or nut dish consists of a beautiful blue glass base with flared and scalloped sides of which is a gorgeous blue opalescent combination all in the distinct ribbed or trellis design. The dish measures 1 7/8" in height, 7 1/2" across the bowl and 3 5/8" across the collared base. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Lovely, colorful pattern.
