Hand painted china is so beautiful no matter if executed in a factory decorating department, professional studio or home studio environment. The quality of the finished product is what really counts.
This gorgeous hand painted vase was expertly decorated in either a professional studio or home studio environment by a skilled artist. Unfortunately there is no studio stamp or artist signature, though the quality speaks for itself. The vase in encircled with clusters, groups and single wild violet blossoms in variegated shades of purple and lavender, nestled among shaded green foliage against a soft, pale yellow background. The neck is skillfully decorated with gold outlined with black. The vase stands 7 3/4" in height, 1 3/4" across the top and 1 7/8" across the base. It is stamped in green 'J & C' with the crossed flower logo. This mark was used by Jaeger & Company, Bavaria, from 1898-1923. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Comparable to the fine decorating decorating studios of this era.
