This beautiful dresser vanity set was expertly decorated in a home-studio on closely matched porcelain blanks obtained from different porcelain makers.
The set, circa 1910, consists of a large size dresser tray, covered powder box, covered hair receiver, pin tray and pin/trinket dish. The design depicts delicate clusters of wild violet blossoms in variegated shades of blue, purple and lavender with yellow centers, on long, slender, shaded green stems and heart shaped leaves. The background is a blended combination of soft, muted yellow, sea-mist green, dusty pink and lavender. Several pieces are artist initialed "M.W." and dated "1911".
The dresser tray, with notched corners, measures 10 1/2" in length and 8" across at the widest parts. It is stamped "Bavaria".
The round powder box measures 4 1/2" across and 2 3/4" in height. It is stamped "Favorite Bavaria" and is initialed and dated.
The round hair receiver measures 4 1/2" across and 2 3/4" in height. It is stamped "Favorite Bavaria" and is initialed.
The pin tray measures 9" in length and 3 1/4" across. It is stamped "M Z Austria".
The pin/trinket dish measures 7 1/4" in length and 2 3/4" across. It is stamped |"Favorite Bavaria".
There are no cracks, chips, repairs, Near mint condition for your enjoyment.
