Chelsea Grape pattern was made before 1840. A small bunch of grapes in a raised design, colored with purple, blue or copper luster, is on the border of the white plate. Most of the pieces are unmarked. The pattern is sometimes called Aynsley or Grandmother.
Wonderful pair dinner plates plates measuring 9" across. Decorated around the paneled edge with alternating raised grape designs in blue. No cracks, chips or repairs; light overall crazing. No manufacture mark.
