The 'Blue Onion' pattern made famous by Meissen was produced by many other fine German companies with subtle pattern variations. The pattern is also referred to as 'Blue Danube'.
This lovely blue and white porcelain tea strainer, circa 1910, is in the Blue Onion or Blue Danube pattern. The piece measures 5" in length, including the handle, and 4" across. It is stamped in black "Germany" on the underside. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Gorgeous porcelain tea strainer.
