Hand decorated porcelain is beautiful no matter if executed in a factory decorating department, professional studio or home studio environment. The end result is what really matters. This gorgeous vase was painted in a home studio by a very accomplished artist of the era.
The vase, circa 1915, is encircled with sweet pea blossoms in pastel pink, purple and white nestled among variegated soft green and gray foliage against a mottled background of sea-mist green, gray and creamy yellow. The embossed scroll rim and intertwined horseshoe shaped handles are decorated with gold. The porcelain blank is not marked by the manufacturer. The artist signature 'B Grown' appears on the base, The vase measures 11 1/2" in height, 5" across the base and 3 1/4" across the top. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Beautiful alone or filled with your favorite flowers.
