The Royal Dux Company, Duchov, Bohemia, was founded by Eduard Eichler in 1860.
This large Royal Dux porcelain figurine, circa 1990, features a pair of hunting dogs on the trail of their game. The pointer is standing alert with tail pointed and right leg raised, while the retriever has his nose to the ground and left paw slightly off the ground. The pointer is nicely shaded medium brown and white, while the retriever is a golden tan and white. They are positioned on an oval base with light green foliage. The oval base measures 13" in length and 6 1/4" in width. The figurine measures 7 3/4" in height to the tip of the pointer's tail. It carries a blue/green stamp "Royal Dux - Made in Czechoslovakia" and impressed "304" and "89". There is some glue residue where a pink triangle was attached but it is missing. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Impressive piece.
