Hand painted china is beautiful and unique as it portrays the artists emotions and visions for the subject he or she is creating. These beautiful hand painted cabinet plates, circa 1900, were created in a small home studio environment by a very talented individual with great attention to detail and subject naturalism.
Each plate exhibits a different fruit motif as found in their natural surroundings. One has stems of shaded purple blueberries on leaf covered branches; another with lush ripe red strawberries, white blossoms and shaded green leaves; a third has red raspberries nestled among variegated green leaves on thorn covered brown stems and white blossoms; the last a leaf covered cherry tree branch from which hangs a spring harvest of lush red cherries.
The porcelain blanks have a wonderful embossed, sculptured shape with delicate gold trim. Each plate has splashes of background color in shades of pastel pink and blue along with artistic gold swirls and scrolls.
The plates measure 8" across and three are stamped "T & V - France", the mark of Tressemann & Vogt porcelain company, circa 1892-1907. The talented artist signed one plate "Belding" and another "M F Belding". There are no cracks, chips, repair or paint wear; near mint condition.
