Hand decorated porcelain is beautiful no matter if executed in a factory decorating department, professional studio or home studio environment. The end result is what really matters.
This beautiful hand painted porcelain serving plate with looped handles, circa 1910, was expertly created in a home studio. The central motif is a branch of variegated medium to deep pink apple blossoms with yellow centers and crimson stamens, nestled among shaded green and aqua leaves. The background is soft yellow and green with additional leaf covered branches in blended shades of muted gray, lavender and pink. The border and handles are gold. The plate is artist signed "H. Palmeter" and measures 10" across and 10 3/4" from handle-to-handle. The blank is stamped "T&V Limoges France", circa 1892-1917, for the Tressemann & Vogt Porcelain Company. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint. Just a great piece of hand painted art.
