A lovely transfer decorated teapot from Austria. The stylish embossed blank is transfer decorated with delicate shaded pink rose blossoms nestled among green leaves and pale gray foliage. The background is alternating splotches of soft pastel pink and green with gold edges and highlights. Wonderful arched handle, curved pouring spout, floral-shaped finial and raised scalloped base. The piece measures 6 1/2" in height, 7 1/2" from spout-to-handle and 3 3/4" across the base. Stamped in green "MZ Austria", which designates the Moritz Zdekauer Company, circa 1884-1909. Also incised "1026 over 3" which probably is the shape/pattern number and indicating it was originally a three piece set. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint.
