Hand painted china is so beautiful no matter if executed by a factory decorating department, professional studio or home studio environment. The quality of the piece is what really matters.
This lovely hand painted ewer is decorated with yellow and rust/brown shaded nasturtium blossoms and buds nestled among leaves in variegated shades of green, yellow and pale aqua, against a background of blended yellow and light to dark brown. The long, slender neck holds a graceful handle of shaded brown, tan and yellow. The piece measures 6" in height and 5 1/2" across. Stamped in green with a crown and double-shield mark "Vienna Austria" which was used by four different New York importers, circa 1890-1908. The ewer is not artist signed. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Gorgeous shading and choice of colors.
