Czechoslovakia produced many types of colored art glass during the early part of the twentieth century.
This beautiful spatter glass basket, circa 1918-1937, is no exception. Composed of vivid shades of red-orange and lemon yellow encased in clear glass, the body with small bubble design flows gently in to the six-pointed star top. The clear glass thorn handle is twisted to form a open loop at the top. The basket measures 5 1/2" across and 6 1/2" in height. On the base are some remaining acid-etched letters of "Czecho-Slovakia". There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Beautiful piece.
