An elegant factory decorated cabinet/serving plate, circa 1910, with gold encrusted, scalloped and embossed outer border and intricate gold encrusted design of loops, scrolls and beads within the plate. The five interior designs are against a rich creamy background with the balance of the plate being plain white.
The plate measures 9 1/4" across and carries two back-stamps; the first in green, Crescent Moon Shape and "Limoges - France" the manufacturer and decorator of the piece; the second in green, Fleur de Lis and "Marshall Field Co. - Chicago - Limoges France" the American retailer for whom the piece was specifically made. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; some minor gold wear.
