This beautiful porcelain hand painted dresser tray, circa 1900-1910, was undoubtedly executed in a professional decorating studio or an extremely talented artist working in a home-studio. The elongated polygon shape is adorned with shaded white/pink, yellow and gray/yellow blossoms, unopened buds; leaves in shades of tan, mauve and chocolate brown, spirals of foliage in shades of brown and branches of delicate, gold encrusted flowers and leaves. The images are finely outlined, veined and highlighted with gold. This beautiful display is against a background of creamy pale yellow with a medium brown and gold decorated border.
The tray measures 10 3/4" in length and 8" in width. It is unmarked by the manufacturer and unfortunately not signed by the artist. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint. Lovely.
