Blue Ridge dinnerware was produced by Southern Potteries of Erwin, Tennessee, from the late 1930's until 1956 in twelve basic styles and two thousand different patterns, all of which were hand decorated under the glaze. This cake tray in the shape of a maple leaf is the "Nove Rose" pattern; a variety of roses, tulips, daisies and lily-of-the-valley all in vivid colors of pink, rose, yellow, blue and green, accented by a bunch of grapes in high-relief by the base of the handle. It measures 10" x 10" and has no cracks, chips, nicks or repairs. The mark is Blue Ridge Nove Rose Hand Painted Underglaze Made in U.S.A. A scarce shape and pattern in mint condition.
