The Royal Ivy pattern was manufactured by the Northwood Glass Company, in 1890. Made in non-flint, clear with frosting (acid finish), rubina and frosted (acid finish) rubina. The Royal Oak pattern is more scarce than the Royal Ivy pattern, both made by Northwood.
This lovely covered sugar bowl is rubina clear. Square in shape the four sides are embossed with large oak leaves and acorns. The lid is also covered with oak leaves and acorns and adorned with a large acorn finial. The piece measures 4 1/4" in width and 6" in height. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; a few minor nicks on the inside rim area of the lid. Beautiful piece of Royal Oak pattern glass with great detail and color.
