This is a wonderful set of 6 Victorian era porcelain luncheon plates with an embossed basket-weave background overlaid with an embossed folded napkin with fringe edging. Each is hand painted with a delicate floral design in the corner of the napkin.
There are two pairs and two single plates in the set. There is one single with a pastel blue background and the other is pastel pink. The pairs consist of two with a pastel gray background and the other pair is a medium pink. The plates measure 8 1/4" across and have a delicate gold trimmed edge. Unmarked, they were probably made in Germany. The pair of gray plates are both numbered "05042'. There are no cracks, chips or repairs.
