This is a beautiful set of 3 hand painted Meissen plates with reticulated borders, circa 1900. The blanks were decorated in home-studio environment, but are unsigned by the artist. Two of the plates are decorated with pastel yellow and pink double rose blossoms and buds with variegated light to dark green and medium brown foliage on long stems against an off-white to muted mauve background. The other plate is decorated with pink double rose blossoms and blue forget-me-not flowers nestled among variegated light to dark green and medium brown foliage on long stems against a muted light blue to dusty rose background. The border on each is a wonderful reticulated intertwined rosette pattern highlighted with gold gilt. The plates measure 6 7/8" across and are impressed "Meissen", "13" and "0 0". There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint condition.
