The Tiffin Glass Company was founded in 1889 by A.J. Beatty in Tiffin, Ohio. Tiffin glass was billed as "America's Prestige Crystal" and was advertised as being "within reach of the limited budget". At one time the output of Tiffin was double that of A.H. Heisey and Cambridge. Production ceased in 1983.
This lovely set of 4 water goblets, pattern #15028-1, circa 1930's, have a wonderful needle etch design of two rows of wavy and looping etched lines. The gold encrusted edge also incorporates a twisting ribbon of four etched lines. The goblet measures 7 5/8" in height, 3 1/4" across the top and 3" across the base. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint condition. Other items of this pattern in my store.
