An absolutely stunning portrait plate of a beautiful woman with light reddish-brown hair, lovely completion, blue eyes and soft-red lips, attired in a white & pastel pink gown with rose and green fringe with white highlights set against a shaded green and creamy yellow to white background. The border is heavily embossed scrolls with a rococo border trimmed in gold gilt.
The plate is marked "Limoges France" and "L.R.L. - Limoges - France" with a crown. Lazeyras, Rosenfeld & Lehman was a decorating factory during the 1920's, known for portrait and figural works of art on porcelain. The decorating technique used was part transfer and part hand-painting. The plate measures 9 1/2" across and there is one factory drilled hole in the underside rim for hanging. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; some very minor wear on embossed decoration and gold trim.
