PH Leonard, Vienna, Austria, Porcelain Round Covered Vegetable Bowl w/Pink & White Rose Motif - image 1 of 8

The Vienna Austria mark with double shield and crown is usually associated with the PH Leonard Company, circa 1890-1908, an importer from New York City. The same mark was used by four importers in the USA, PH Leonard, Bawo & Dotter, Charles L Dwenger and Paul A Straub & Co, The mark was used on the Vernon China line from the Count Thuns factory in Klasterec.

The lovely transfer motif consists of clusters, sprays and individual blossoms of large pastel pink and white roses nestled among soft green/tan foliage, A few delicate lavender flowers are interspersed among the roses. The white blank has an embossed fluted border which follows the gently scalloped edges of the items.

This wonderful round covered vegetable bowl measures 9 3/4" from handle-to-handle, 7" across 5 1/4" in height. The finial and handles are decorated with gold gilt. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Others pieces of this pattern in my store
