Hand painted china is so beautiful no matter if executed in a factory decorating department, professional studio or home studio environment. The quality of the finished product is what really counts.
This lovely pair of hand painted plates were expertly decorated in a home-studio environment. The pair were executed by different artists who did sign the items. The one displays shaded red currants hanging from variegated green leaf covered brown vines. The background is a mix of Light green, pale blue, buttery yellow and a hint of pink. It measures 7 1/2" across and is stamped "Thomas Sevres Bavaria" and is initialed by the artist "L M C". The second displays rich, red currents nestled among variegated dark green leaves. The background is a blend of shaded red, pale blue and cream. It measures 7 1/2" across and is stamped "Silesia" and signed and dated by the artist "M. Sankup '13". Both plates have a gold gilted edge There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Very decorative with great colors.
