The Wedgwood 'Edme' pattern is listed as one of the twenty best dinner-ware patterns ever produced by the Wedgwood Company. It was introduced in 1908 and continued until 2006. The stylized embossed ribbing of this design is reminiscent of the ridges of a clam shell - harking back to Josiah Wedgwood's love of shell collecting. The off-white porcelain, ribbed body, braided edges and pineapple finials create and elegant as well as timeless design.

This is a lovely set of footed cups and saucers. The cups measure 3 1/2" across the top and 2 3/4" in height; the saucers measure 5 3/4" across. They are stamped in green with the Barlaston Mark introduced in 1940. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Lovely set of 4. Three sets available for sale.
