The Wedgwood 'Edme' pattern is listed as one of the twenty best dinner-ware patterns ever produced by the Wedgwood Company. It was introduced in 1908 and continued until 2006. The stylized embossed ribbing of this design is reminiscent of the ridges of a clam shell - harking back to Josiah Wedgwood's love of shell collecting. The off-white porcelain, ribbed body, braided edges and pineapple finials create and elegant as well as timeless design.

These lovely square luncheon plates measure 8 3/4" across. They are stamped in green with the Barlaston Mark introduced in 1940. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Lovely set of 4. Three sets available for sale. Additional pieces of this pattern are in my store.
