Royal Doulton has been producing porcelain ceramics and dinnerware for approximately 200 years. From a meager beginning in 1815, John Doulton, amassed one of the largest pottery and porcelain factories this world has ever known.

This lovely Royal Doulton figurine entitled "First Dance" was produced from 1977-1992. Designed by Peggy Davies, it portrays a lovely lady attired in a long powder blue gown with puffy white sleeves and white border trimmed with a garland of delicate yellow floral with green leaves. In her right hand she is holding a fan decorated with shaded pink rose blossoms.

Margaret (Peggy) Davies was was one of the most successful modellers/designers for Royal Doulton during the 1950's -1970's.

The figurine stands 7 1/4" in height. Stamped in green with the Royal Doulton logo, "Bone China", "First Dance", "HN 2803" and copyright symbol "Royal Doulton Tableware Ltd. 1976". This back-stamp was used from 1979-1981. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint. This is a wonderful Royal Doulton figurine.
