This beautiful cabinet plate, circa 1920-1930, is the first in a series of six being offered individually for sale. The neoclassical figural central motif is different on each plate and may be Biblical, Romantic or Classical in nature. The transfers are excellent and some may display the name of the artist that created the original; this one appears to be Angelisa K. The gold encrusted border around the central motif and extending outward to the border of the plate is a stunning display of floral, geometric and criss-cross designs. The four cobalt cartouches on the shoulder of the plate is further enhanced with a gold decorative pattern.
The plate measures 10 1/2" across and is stamped with a gold Roman coin "22 Karat - Royal China" over in red "Limoges - French Decorations - Hand Painted" over in gold "Roman Gold". There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint. Please look at all six plates, the set may be purchased for $695.00.
