Roseville "Clematis" pattern was introduced in July 1944. A large open flower is embossed in the center of a massive looking creation. This vase has a yellow flower with brown center displayed in the middle of a shaded green to brown background. There were three different color combinations for this particular Roseville line. A soft satin finish covers the designs. The colors tend to darken as they approach the base and handles. Pieces are marked with Roseville in relief and a style number.
This vase is a lovely, large example of the Clematis line. It measures 9 1/2" in height and is marked "Roseville - U.S.A. - 110-9". There are no cracks, chips or repairs; a smooth glaze miss on the base.
