Hand painted porcelain is so beautiful no matter if done in a factory, professional decorating studio or a small home studio environment. The overall quality of the piece is what really matters.
This beautiful cabinet plate, circa 1900, was executed in a small home-studio environment by an accomplished artist. The blank is decorated with stems of multi-colored chrysanthemum blossoms in vivid shades of mauve, pink, yellow and crimson, nestled among variegated green and mauve leaves. The background hues are a pleasant mix of dark green, shaded mauve with soft yellow and blue. The gently scalloped edge is enhanced with embossed gold beads and rim. The plate measures 8 1/2" across and is in near mint condition. Initialed on the back by the artist 'J.L.B' and dated '1903'. Stamped in green "D & C - France", which is the mark for Delinieres & Company, circa 1894-1900. Gorgeous floral plate
