The Alfred Meakin, Royal Albert, Victoria and Highgate Potteries, Tunstall, Staffordshire was established in 1875.
This lovely oval platter is the blue transfer "Bramble" pattern, circa 1891 - 1897. The lovely pattern consists of clusters of blackberries, leaves and blossoms, native grasses and wild poppy floral, all highlighted with gold. The platter measures 12 1/4" in length, 8 7/8" across with gently scalloped edge. The mark is a world globe and "Bramble - Alfred Meakin - England". There are no cracks, chips, nicks or repairs; light overall crazing.
