The (B.W.M & Co.) Brown-Westhead, Moore & Co., Cauldon Place, Hanley, England existed from 1862 - 1904.
This lovely square, open vegetable bowl is the Siam pattern, circa 1870's. A overall chintz floral pattern in shades of light, medium and dark blue. The bowl measures 9" across and 2 3/8" in depth and rests on a raised collar base. Stamped in blue, circa 1862-1884 mark, of a Shield, Crown & Circle with "B.W.M.&Co. and Siam". impressed "Cauldon" and "17". The item has two chips or flakes on the collar base, with a hairline extending from one which does not impact the bowl. Great Pattern.
