This is a lovely, circa 1920, rectangular porcelain jewelry or trinket covered box for a lady's dresser or vanity. Though unmarked as to the maker it is probably English or German in origin.
The base has four sculptured scroll corners that flow into feet. The lid is adorned with a Victorian era lady, attired in a period gown of yellow, blue and red with white trimmings. She is seated on the floor. her white dog is positioned beside her wanting her undivided attention. The box measures 4" in length, 3" in width and 3 1/4" in height. There are no cracks, chips or repairs.
