This lovely and hand painted dresser/vanity box was executed in a small home-studio environment in the early 1900's by a talented porcelain artist. The white porcelain blank is decorated on all sides with a garland of shaded pink tea rose blossoms nestled among variegated green and tan foliage. The garlands are connected by two narrow gold gilt ribbons. The lid has a similar rose garland motif with square gilt finial. The box measures 3" square and 3 1/2" in height to the top of the finial. Stamped in green "B & Co, France", a mark used for the Bernardaud Company, circa 1900-1914. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; gold wear on the finial. No artist signature. Lovely, delicate piece.
