This fabulous Chinese rose quartz necklace, circa 1900-1920, features both carved and smooth rose quartz beads as well as a gorgeous pendant clasp. The carved Chinese motif beads measure approximately 15mm in size while the smooth beads are approximately 8mm in size, The beads are alternately strung and hand knotted on the original silk cord. The oval pendant clasp is Chinese silver with an embossed floral and beaded design along the side. It closes with a box and tongue mechanism. The top holds a large, polished, convex, rose quartz cabochon measuring 1 3/8" in length and 1' in width. The necklace measures 15 1/2" in length. The pendant clasp is stamped with a Chinese hallmark on the underside. The piece is in very good condition with no damages; the silk cord shows wear from age and use.
