Garne jewelry is scarce and hard to find. Very little information is available about this small New York, New York jewelry company that started in 1945 and continued in business until the 1960's.
This lovely Garne necklace, circa 1960. combines round and baroque faux pearls, beautiful filigree gold-tone oval beads and end caps along with small gold-tone spacer beads to make this creation. The necklace measures 23" in length and has a round, brushed-gold, box and tongue clasp. It still has attached the original black and gold foil label "Garne Jewelry" which indicates it has never been worn. Near mint condition.
