Onyx is known to separate. It can help release negative emotions such as sorrow and grief. It is used to end unhappy or bothersome relationships. Onyx guards against negativity. Onyx jewelry is worn to defend against negativity that is directed at you. Black stones have protective energies in the sense that black is the absence of light, and therefore, can be used to create invisibility.

This collar necklace w/pendant is a wonderful example of Mexican craftsmanship, circa 1960's. The solid band collar measures approximately 17 1/2" in length and 1/8" in width with hook and eye closure. The onyx, bezel mounted cabochon measures 7/8" in length, 3/4" in width not including the round bail. The pendant can be easily removed so you mix-and-match the pendant or necklace with other favorite pieces. Both the pendant and necklace is stamped "Mexico 925". Great condition with no damage and nice original patina.
