"Weiss" Pair of Gold-Tone & Pastel Rhinestone Figural Butterfly Brooches/Scatter Pins
Albert Weiss, who gained experience by working at Coro, founded the Weiss Company in 1942. Albert designed the jewelry and much was produced in his own factory. The factory ceased operations in 1971.
This beautiful pair of small brooches/scatter pins, circa 1950"s, has great color and sparkle. The delicate gold-tone figural form of each butterfly is set with pear, marquise and round pastel colored rhinestones in various sizes. The soft colors are pink, blue, lavender, clear and green and each set is solid-backed and prong-mounted. The pieces measure 1 1/4" width, 1" in height and have safety clasp mechanism. Both are stamped "Weiss" within a oval cartouche. Near mint condition.
