Uncas was founded in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1911 by Vincent Sorrentino, an Italian immigrant who came to America in search of opportunity and, ultimately, realized the American Dream. Uncas prospered because of its diverse product line and quality manufacturing. The result: an industrial powerhouse and a leading manufacturer of rings.
This lovely moulded cameo ring, circa 1920's, has a sterling silver mounding in size 6. The delicate and detailed white moulded cameo is set on a deep coral colored base. The cameo is bezel mounted and surrounded by a row of prong-set diamond rhinestones. The oval setting measures 7/8" in length and 5/8" in width. The band is stamped "Sterling" and the company logo of a "U" penetrated by an arrow; a mark introduced in the 1920's. Wonderful vintage condition with no damages and original patina.
