The Trifari Jewelry Company was created in 1918 by Gustavo Trifari who had immigrated to this country from Italy in 1904 and founded Trifari NYC in 1910. Considered one of the largest and best known producers of costume jewelry, producing he highest quality and styles from imaginative sterling vermeil figurals of the 1940's to its classic gold and silver-tone styles.

This simple, yet elegant, Trifari brooch, circa 1950's, is patterned after a floral motif of two, long spikes of either blossoms or unopened buds, with two slender, detailed leaves in the background. The flowers are faux round pearls with the leaves of sculptured silver-tone metal. The brooch measures 4" in length, 2" in width and has a safety clasp mechanism. Stamped in the metal "Trifari" with a crown above the "T" and the copyright symbol. Near mint condition
