Coro, Inc., began operations in 1901. The U.S. operations ended in 1979, but Coro continued to produce jewelry in Canada until approximately 1998. In 1944, Coro began the production jewelry marked "Vendome", the name of a city in France. Vendome is associated with high-end Coro designs and most was produced after 1953.
This fantastic demi-parure consists of a double-strand necklace of faux baroque white pearls, Cut aurora borealis crystals, Pink opaline beads and faux variegated pink/lavender stones. The individual components are separated by tiny clear beads and the stones, pearls and beads are adorned with a variety of decorative gold-tone end-caps. The strands measure 14" & 16" inches in length with an additional 2 3/4" extender of smaller cut crystals. The hook catch is adorned with a flower. The matching earrings are a mix of the same faux pearls , stones, cut crystals and beads which comprise the necklace. They measure 1" across and are clip-type with screw adjustment. The hook catch on the necklace and the earring clips are all marked "Vendome" The condition is near mint with little or no visible ware to metal or settings. Classy is an understatement for its color and style.
