The Lang Jewelry Company was established circa 1946 in Providence, Rhode Island. Manufacturer of Sterling Silver jewelry of good quality with floral and figural motifs. Two common marks are LANG and Lang with a Swan (used since 1946). The company ceased operations around 1977.
This lovely 3-dimensional, open work brooch, circa 1950's, consists of an oval wire frame to which is attached two large, one smaller floral blossom and sculptured leaf. The brooch measures 1 3/4" in length, 1 1/4" in width and has a safety clasp mechanism. Stamped within a rectangular cartouche "Hand Made - Sterling - Lang". There are no damages and has a lovely darkened patina.
