Coro produced the Vendome line from 1944 - 1979. Named for a city in France, Vendome is associated with high-end Coro designs.
This beautiful Vendome brooch is constructed of cast resin flowers and leaves mounted on a silver-tone base. Cast resin is not used extensively in the making of jewelry, but the result is life-like and stunning. The motif of this brooch is a multitude of delicate five-petal, white flowers each with a prong-set clear diamond rhinestone center. Interspersed among the flowers are soft green leaves. The brooch measures 3" across with a safety clasp mechanism. Marked Vendome within an oval cartouche. Most marked pieces were made after 1953. Near mint condition. You will be pleased with this wonderful brooch.
