Coro produced the Vendome line from 1944 - 1979. Named for a city in France, Vendome is associated with high-end Coro designs.
This elegant, yet simple, Vendome brooch is a single open blossom; perhaps a spring Magnolia. The two outer rows of seven and six petals as well as the center of the blossom consists of beautiful open filigree silver-tone metal work. With the passage of time, the metal has developed a subtle golden hue. The brooch measures 2 1/2" across and has a safety clasp mechanism. Marked Vendome with copyright symbol on a rectangular cartouche. Most marked pieces were made after 1953. Lovely in near mint condition.
