Coro produced the Vendome line from 1944 - 1979. Named for a city in France, Vendome is associated with high-end Coro designs.
This beautiful Vendome demi-parure, consists of matching brooch and earrings in a floral motif. The pieces feature shaded green enamel , elongated, heart-shaped leaves, similar to the Anthurium plant of Hawaii. Nested among the leaves are round and marquise cut , prong-set rhinestone in shades of chrysoberyl, emerald, pink sapphire and clear. The brooch measures 3 1/4" in length and 1 1/2" in width with a safety clasp mechanism. Marked Vendome with copyright symbol on a rectangular cartouche. The clip, adjustable earrings consist of two leaves and rhinestone combination. They measure 1 1/2" in length and 1" in width and are stamped "Vendome" on the earring clip. Most marked pieces were made after 1953. Lovely demi with no damage or missing sets; near mint condition. The sparkle, enamel work and combination of colored sets is fantastic.
