This lovely set of 6 early Limoges butter pats, circa 1870-1885, were factory decorated with different floral motifs; four distinct patterns are included in this set. The colors consist of soft pink and olive green against the white blanks. The pats are square, measuring 2 5/8" across with notched corners. Each are stamped in blue, but I cannot distinguish the letters; I think they could very well be early Haviland. There are no cracks, chips or repairs, one pat has a tiny nick on the notched corner. (See the third photo) Lovely set.
