Jeannette Bottle Works began operation in the late 1880s in Jeannette, Penn. In 1898 the company became Jeannette Glass Company. The Jeannette Glass Company introduced 14 collectible Depression glass patterns during the period from 1928 through 1938. In 1970, the company's name changed to Jeannette Corporation. They ceased production and closed the factory in 1983.
This charming set of six delphite blue footed sherberts or champagnes are from the Jeannette Glass Company in the "Doric" pattern; circa 1935-1938. There's nothing quite like the delphite blue shade and these are a lovely addition to a milk glass collect. The sherbets measure 3 1/2" in height and 3 5/8" across the top. There are no cracks, chips or repairs.
