Capodimonte, a name revered in porcelain production in Italy since the 1700's. During the twentieth century the term Capodimonte-Style has evolved to include quality porcelains from many Italian companies that have no direct connection to the original Capodimonte company, but adhere to its' traditions.
This is a lovely grouping of three hand painted porcelain birds from the twentieth century, 1960-1980. The group consists of a chickadee, robin and finch, all created to life-like standards and coloration with a soft bisque finish. They measure approximately 3 1/4" to 3 1/2" in height. Stamped in blue "Italy", one has a gold foil label "House of Global Art - Entirely Hand Painted - Italy". There are no cracks, chips or repairs.
